Hi, I am Ashlyn!


I am 24 years old, and I am a New Orleans based lifestyle

& wedding photographer who loves to travel! I am happily married to the love of my life, we are blessed with a beautiful, baby girl, and we are followers of Jesus.

My hometown is West Monroe, La but I currently live in Kenner, La which has given me the amazing opportunity to explore New Orleans through my camera and expand my possibilities with photography as well as my paintings. In May 2023, I earned my bachelors degree in studio art from Louisiana Tech University so I am now a full time photographer and live wedding painter! When I’m not capturing love through my camera or by putting paint on my canvas, I am either at church, traveling, practicing pottery, thrifting, water skiing, or taking in the small moments with my little family!

How and why did you become a photographer?


Taking photos has always been something that I loved to do since iPhones came out, and I was outside capturing pictures of dogs, flowers, and whatever else I could find haha! Fortunately, I've come a long way since then and have learned what it takes to be a real photographer! It all started when my mom got a beginner DSLR camera when I was about 14. I was so excited and took it outside to start taking pictures!! I thought surely this would make me a real photographer. Unfortunately, I was not impressed when I saw the results of the pictures. They looked nothing like what I was seeing through the viewfinder. From that moment on, I knew there was a lot more that went into photography than I thought. Since then, I have done TONS of research, taken professional classes, and even invested in coursework from other professional photographers! As a photographer, one is always learning and every new thing that I learn still makes me love what I do even more! After practicing and practicing, I've finally turned this love for taking photos into something serious. Capturing genuine joy and love is why I do what I do! Seeing a baby laugh or the chemistry between a couple in love through my lens makes me never want to stop striving for the perfect shot. I just seriously can never get enough of it! I've always cared so much about others and have always been creative, and photography allows me do both of those at once!
